Recreational Rules & Policies

Recreational: Gymnastics & Ninja Registration

Classes will be billed on a monthly basis. Your first month’s tuition is due at time of registration. After your initial registration payment, monthly tuition payments are charged on the 25th of the prior month.

Registration is done online. Your child may join at any time, June 22, 2026 through June 12, 2027. If they join in the middle of the month, their monthly tuition will be prorated.

Our monthly tuition is based on 48 weeks of classes divided by 11 payments. Since we do not charge extra for months with 5 weeks, we do not prorate for months with 3 weeks. No make ups or prorated fees will be offered for months with scheduled gym closures or holiday closures as each class will receive 48 weeks of instruction from June 22, 2026-June 12, 2027.

Make-up classes will only be provided for any unscheduled closures due to weather or the like. We do not offer make-up classes for personal reasons. EXCEPTION: Between June 22, 2026 and August 29, 2026 you may make up a maximum of 2 missed classes. Please call or email the office at least 48 hours in advance to schedule your (summer only) make-up class.

Classes are to be paid for at the time of registration. Unpaid accounts without response will be dropped within 24 hours of enrollment. We accept cash and credit (except American Express). We no longer accept checks.

Refunds will only be given in the case of extended illness or injury with a doctor’s note on a case by case basis, or for classes canceled due to insufficient registration. Credits or refunds are not given for missed classes due to personal reasons, school functions, common illness or family affairs.

Recreational: Transfer or Switch Classes

If you would like to stay enrolled but need to switch your class- whether your child aged out, moved up, or you just need a different class day/time- please DO NOT submit a drop request. Instead, please call (leave a message if no one answers), email, or stop by the office and we can assist you.

Recreational: Gymnastics & Ninja Un-enrollment

If you choose to drop your child from a class, a drop form must be completed by the 15th of the month to avoid any further charges for the up-coming month. Drop forms must be submitted through your parent portal. We will not accept phone calls or emails for your drop request. Drop requests cannot be backdated to receive a credit or refund for missed classes.

To submit a drop form, in your parent portal, go to the Dashboard and scroll down to your students’ Classes. On the class card, click the More Options icon   in the top-right corner, then select Request Drop.

Recreational: Automatic Payment Policies

By submitting my credit card information through the secure online registration process, I authorize BC Gymnastics to automatically charge my card for monthly fees on the 25th of each month for the up-coming month. I understand that I must notify BC Gymnastics using the drop form by the 15th of the month for the up-coming month of classes if I choose to withdraw my child from the program. I also understand that failure to notify BC Gymnastics by the 15th of the month will result in my account being charged for the up-coming month and that no refund will be given. I agree that once billing is processed, I will not dispute the charge with my financial institution.

Drop forms must be submitted through your parent portal.

General Information

Parents may wait in the lobby with their children until the instructor calls them into the gym. Parents are not allowed in the gym (with the exception of one parent per child for classes requiring parent participation). However, you are welcome to watch through the observation windows.

Upon dismissal, parents must be ready to pick up the children as the instructor brings them out. (Please be on time…the kids get very upset when they do not see you!)

The children should come dressed and ready to participate.

Gymnastics dress code:

Girls may wear a leotard, biker shorts, or comfortable close-fitting clothing. Boys may wear shorts and well-fitting T-shirts. Clothing with belt loops, zippers, or snaps are prohibited, as are large, oversized T-shirts for both boys and girls. Sweat clothes are OK in cold weather. The children should be barefoot, hair should be pulled back, and no jewelry should be worn.

Ninja dress code:

Boys and girls should wear well-fitted clothing. Clothing with belt loops, zippers, or snaps are prohibited, as are large, oversized T-shirts for both boys and girls. Sweat clothes are OK in cold weather. Hair should be pulled back, and no jewelry should be worn. It is preferred that children wear black soled sneakers. Our shoe recommendation can be found here. It is also encouraged to bring sneakers to change into as wet or dirty shoes will not be allowed in the gym.

Other:

Children can bring a water bottle with water only to the gym. All other drinks must be kept in the lobby.
Chalk is not required but can used by Intermediate and Advanced level gymnast only. Chalk must be purchased from BC Gymnastics ($2/block). A tupperware container or ziplock bag are required to store your chalk. We are not responsible for chalk or containers/bags left in the gym.

Instructors will wait 15 minutes after class start time for students from their class to arrive. If no students are present after 15 minutes, instructors are permitted to leave.

Class Make-Up Procedure:
The Recreational Program provides make ups only in the event that we have to cancel classes. At this time, due to enrollment numbers, we are unable to offer make ups, refunds, or credits for absences due to personal reasons.

The Parent’s Association sponsors various fundraisers to purchase equipment that you see being used by all the kids in the gym. Information about these fundraisers will be distributed via your child’s instructor. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
